Eishi's sword has a lightning rod base to it. It can conduct electricity for her attacks. A pair of shackles with small wings attach to her feet, offering to be a grounder from her lighting strikes, and only add to her great speed. If these are damaged or otherwise broken, she is just as vulnerable to her lightning as her opponent.

Nijima Eishi, while in the Shinigami Academy, was an excellent student academically, however she was not one to gain high marks in the field. Once she graduated, she was immediately taken in by the Scientific Research Division, headed by Kurotsuchi Mayuri. Her skills were placed among the other researchers for general Hollow activity for the Living World. Mayuri wanted to gage her intelligence and see how she worked, and he was not disappointed. Eishi was incredibly efficient with all tasks he assigned her, as long as they did not consist of much 'hands on' interaction. It appeared that she was a natural with paperwork and reports.

She was promoted to the Seventh Seat in his Division, and given a more personal job of relaying all of his experimental work to paper as he proceeded with the actual experiments themselves. He also used her skill in Shunpo to send out messages to other Division members and Captains all over the Seireitei. This is now a more constant job for the Nijima to carry out, being as that there are many things that the Hell butterflies cannot do, such as carry things for delivery from one side of the Gotei 13 to the the other.

[ Personality ]

Eishi is a rather calmed and reserved woman. She is highly respectful of all those in rank above her, especially Captains. Her intelligence level is high as well, though she does not flaunt her extensive knowledge of things, however, she will tell someone when they are wrong, no matter who they are. She is somewhat sheltered from enemy forces, even though she knows their ins and outs very well. Eishi has never been to the Living World or taken part in a mission outside of the region of Soul Society round the Seireitei.
